This lovely Japanese antimony bronze trinket box is in the form of a chrysanthemum which is a classic Japanese motif. This piece has beautiful detail to the lid and form of the box with silvered highlights to the relief pattern and a maker’s mark to the base, as pictured. The chrysanthemum motif of the lid is blended with depictions of rural scenery on the sides of the box.
